Therapy Rooted in Authentic Connection

Compassionate therapy for individuals, couples, and families — designed to help you feel understood, supported, and genuinely seen.

At Authentic & Meaningful Insights, therapy is approached with compassion, curiosity, and genuine human connection.

Our mission is to help people live more authentically by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where meaningful conversations and “aha” moments can happen naturally.

We believe therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all. Every client is different, which is why we tailor our approach to each individual, couple, or family using a variety of evidence-based and experiential modalities. We are continually learning and expanding our skills so sessions can evolve alongside the needs of each client.

FAQs

  • Yes, as long as it’s with 24 hours notice before your appointment. There is an $80 cancellation fee.

  • Yes, our therapists are flexible and are welcoming to whoever you want to bring (plus it gives us insight into you too). However, you do not need to bring support people if you do not want to.

  • Typically sessions are 53 minutes long, there are shorter and longer options as needed and if the client is self-pay. Insurance companies have rules around the length of sessions.

  • The therapist does not always assign homework, but it is the client’s best interest to practice concepts discussed in sessions. If the therapist assigns homework, it is up to the client to complete it or not. If the client forgets or chooses not to do it, the therapist won’t be upset.

  • This is different for each client, but essentially if you feel you can handle life’s challenges better than before you started going to therapy.

  • This is dependent on your goals for therapy, availability of time, and your support system. Some clients have weekly sessions while others are every other week and as clients progress they meet with the therapist monthly or as needed. The therapist and client decide together what works best for them and when they should change the frequency of sessions or end therapy all together.

  • The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy so if you do not click with the therapist, then find a new one. If you do not like something the therapist says, then let the therapist know. The therapist may have stumbled on a wound and this is good information to discuss. Also, therapists are human so not everything comes out perfectly so by letting the therapist know something bothered you then the therapist can try to be more sensitive in the future. This is excellent practice for situations in your every day life.
